How to search using Ask For Kids
Type your keywords or questions into the search box.
Click the "Search" button or the [enter]
key on your computer's keyboard.
Search with Keywords or Questions.
Searching for information online can be easy as long as you know
what you are looking for and how to ask the search engine to retrieve
your information correctly. We allow you to either ask questions
or simply put in the search terms that you want to explore. Its
easy. Try it out.
Search for simple and direct terms.
For example:
Michael
Jordan, wolves,
SpongeBob
, or convert
4 miles to feet.
Ask for only one thing at a time.
For example:
Instead of searching for: "What is the capital of Indiana
and what is its state motto?" First ask: What
is the capital of Indiana?
And then after finding this answer, search for: State
motto of Indiana?
Look for Smart Answers.
Where possible, we will provide direct responses to your search
terms. These items will appear at the very top of our results
page.
If there is a drop down box, pull it down with your cursor.
You will see a list of topics that our system thinks will answer
your question.
Pull the box down by clicking on the small arrow. Pick the choice
you think describes best what you want to know. Make sure it is
showing in the window when you let go of the arrow. Then click
the Go button again and you will go to the Web site you selected.
If you see several drop-down boxes, you might want to look at
all of the choices. The answers you are looking for will almost
always be contained in the choices given.
Check the search results from other kids safe search sites.
Under the solid blue line, you can see answers that come from
Education
World and Federal
Education Resources sites. These are kid-safe resources. If
you know about a great kids search service that you think we should
add, then please let
